Smiles for Seniors: Bringing Light, Connection, and Jewish Life to Our Elders

Chabad of Cobb’s Smiles for Seniors volunteers bring comfort and inspiration all year long through deeply meaningful visits with senior residents throughout our community. With consistency, compassion, and joy, our team visits eight senior living residences, bringing the light of Shabbat and the warmth of Jewish connection directly to each resident.

Before Shabbat, volunteers deliver thoughtfully prepared gifts that uplift both heart and spirit—electric Shabbat candles, challah rolls, welcome cards, and a brief, inspiring summary of the weekly Parsha. Together with the residents, they light candles, pray, and fulfill the mitzvah of tzedakah, creating moments of dignity, spiritual connection, and genuine human warmth within residents’ private rooms.

Throughout the year, Jewish holidays are celebrated with parties, visits, and special programs, infusing Jewish life, tradition, and love into the lives of our beloved seniors—and helping ensure they feel seen, remembered, and truly cherished.

The senior living communities we are privileged to serve include: Solana Senior Living, The Pearl, Regal Point, Sterling Estates, Parc at Piedmont, East Cobb Nursing and Healing, The Sullivan House, and Grace Living.
